Cheyenne, Wyo. - On Monday, the Boys and Girls Club of Cheyenne opened their 6th after school site.

"At the main site, there's so many kids here that come from all over the place, and a lot of kids with those social and emotional dysregulations don't do well right now don't do well in that huge group setting, so this has really helped a lot of kids," said Hanna Teetor, Unit Director at the Meadowlark site.

This site serves about 40 students between 6 schools; Meadowlark, Saddle Ridge, Buffalo Ridge, Dildine, and Anderson elementary schools. The students are bussed to Meadowlark, and can stay at the program until 6pm.

"Getting to know what these kids enjoy doing. They're all so vastly different, and they all have so many ideas on what we could do in club, so I'm excited to help incorporate some of that for them," said Teetor.

The Boys and Girls Club utilizes two classrooms, common areas, and the playground at the school to lead programs and activities.

Don Brinkman, principal at Meadowlark Elementary, says that they are excited to work with the Boys and Girls club, and in their partnership, hopes to grow and offer students experiences that they might not normally receive.

"I just want to thank the administration over at Meadowlark, Don Brinkman, they've been so so helpful and so accommodating for us," said Teetor.
