Cheyenne, Wyo. - A Cheyenne woman has been arrested on murder charges following a recent investigation.

The investigation began Saturday, January 18 in the 2700 block of Dey Avenue when, at 12:30 p.m. Cheyenne police say Brian Blanche, 38 was stabbed by a female suspect, Chantavia Blanche, 24, who was then arrested for aggravated assault.

On Wednesday, January 22, the man died and Cheyenne Police Detectives continued the investigation as a homicide.

Through the investigation, officers learned that a verbal altercation occurred between the couple in the living room of their residence. As the argument escalated, Chantavia Blanche reportedly grabbed a knife and stabbed her husband in the stomach.

Chantavia Blanche has since been arraigned on a 2nd-degree murder charge. This case remains under investigation by the Cheyenne Police Detective Bureau.
