Lincoln, Neb. - The Scottsbluff Police Department is receiving grant funding assistance for obtaining e-Citations and e-Crash equipment.
“This highway safety grant funding in the amount of $19,733.34 will aid the Scottsbluff Police Department in purchasing e-Citation and e-Crash equipment to better track citation and crash information,” according to Bill Kovarik, Administrator of the NDOT Highway Safety Office.
Nebraska has once again qualified for Federal Racial Profiling funds. The NDOT Highway Safety Office has utilized this funding to aid local area law enforcement in obtaining equipment that will improve tracking citation and crash data.
“This funding and the ongoing persistence of law enforcement personnel continues to impact injury and fatality crashes,” Kovarik said.
The Scottsbluff Police Department will be utilizing the award to purchase rugged laptops, mounts, and printer mounts. This equipment helps streamline the e-citation process and deliver the highest level of public safety possible.
