Laramie, Wyo. - A town hall in Laramie is getting national attention after Wyoming U.S. Representative Harriet Hageman faced a hostile crowd Wednesday night.

Voters have expressed their frustrations in several town halls across the country in recent days, and clearly Wyoming lawmakers aren't immune. It's a sign of unease and dissatisfaction from constituents across the country. In fact, Republican congressional leadership is urged its members to stop hosting in-person town halls to avoid push back from angry constituents.

More than 500 people showed up at Laramie Plains Civic Center Wednesday night as Hageman held a town hall to recap of the latest developments in congress and take audience Q & A.

But like the one she held Saturday in Rock Springs, Hageman was interrupted by constituents who made their disapproval of her - and DOGE cuts - clear.

"It's so bizarre to me how obsessed you are with the federal government," Hageman said when asked about Grand Teton and Yellowstone national parks.

Shouts and laughter flooded the town hall as Hageman attempted to praise and give her support of Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency efforts, many of which have upended the lives of countless America citizens.

"What DOGE is doing is it's the closest thing to, it is the closest thing to zero-based budgeting, why would you be opposed to us looking on a line by line basis when every..." Hageman said, only to have a woman shout, "From an immigrant from South Africa who wasn't elected."

Although many say they agree with the work President Trump and Elon Musk are doing to trim the budget, both Democrats and Republicans alike have been critical of how they're doing it - especially the cuts by DOGE.

At one point Hageman even suggested audience members had little respect for the government process and suggested they leave if they were going to continue to be disrespectful.

Wyoming Secretary of State Chuck Gray even weighed in on social media saying he believes Congresswoman Hageman did a fantastic job, then claimed without proof, that "Soros tried to bus in radical Leftists, and they tried to heckle and boo. But Congresswoman Hageman won."

Businessman George Soros, who donates to liberal causes, is a recurring and oft-cited villain and scapegoat in conservative circles.
