Laramie, Wyo. - On Saturday morning two snowplows were struck and damaged in southeast Wyoming. These are the eighth and ninth plows to be hit this season in Wyoming and the third and fourth in District 1 (southeast Wyoming).

The first was struck as the snowplow making its rounds on U.S. 30/287 north of Laramie was hit early Saturday morning.

According to WYDOT, at around 6:30 a.m., the driver of a passenger vehicle was traveling southbound in the northbound lane at milepost 310.5 on US30/287 near the Bosler Junction. In an attempt to get their attention, the plow operator reduced speed, flashed lights, and honked the horn. The driver of the SUV then swerved to avoid the snowplow but ended up hitting it anyway.

There were no injuries to the operator of the snowplow, but the driver of the SUV was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries. WYDOT says the plow blade received major damage and will be totaled.

The second happened around 11:30 a.m. on Interstate 80 by Lone Tree. WYDOT says the driver of a semi-truck rear-ended a snowplow while heading east on I-80.
 
The driver of the truck was ticked but luckily neither of the drivers were injured. However, extensive damage was done to the sander on the back of the plow.
